À partir d’une photographie-prise à Hong Kong en 1947, ma pensée se déclenche, j’explore une mémoire où l’intime rencontre la grande Histoire.
Mon travail retrace le destin de mes deux lignées en Asie, marquées par l’exil, la Résistance et le silence, notamment celui de mon grand-père, Roderick Egal, résistant gaulliste à Shanghai durant l’occupation japonaise.
Mêlant photographies, archives familiales inédites et interventions plastiques, je révèle les strates invisibles de la mémoire, interroge les héritages coloniaux et les récits oubliés, transforme les traces du passé en une expérience sensible.
Mes créations questionnent ce que nous transmettons, ce que nous réparons et la manière dont les images peuvent rapprocher les êtres face aux violences de l’histoire.
Il s’agit d’un ensemble de 19 pièces qui existent séparément. Chaque photographie a son histoire.

Starting from a photograph taken in Hong Kong in 1947, my thinking is set in motion as I explore a memory in which the intimate meets History.
My work retraces the destinies of my two lineages in Asia, marked by exile, the Resistance, and silence, notably that of my grandfather, Roderick Egal, a Free French resistance member in Shanghai during the Japanese occupation.
Merging photography, unpublished family archives, and visual interventions, I reveal the invisible layers of memory, question colonial inheritances and forgotten narratives,and transform traces of the past into a sensory experience.
My creations question what we transmit, what we repair, and how images can bring people closer together in the face of the violences of history.
It is a collection of 19 pieces that exist independently. Each photograph has its own story.
